We evaluate and treat aphasia, which affects the ability to speak, understand, read, and write, and dysarthria, which affects the clarity and strength of speech. These conditions often result from Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson's disease, brain tumors, or other neurological changes.

Aphasia therapy, dysarthria therapy, implementation of multi-modality communication, augmentative alternative communication (AAC), referrals to be made as necessary.

We evaluate and treat dysphagia, a swallowing disorder that can cause coughing, choking, or difficulty managing food, liquids, and medications. This condition often results from Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson's disease, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, Head and Neck Cancer, or other medical and neurological changes.

Dysphagia therapy, swallow maneuvers, bolus modification, postural techniques, education on safe swallow/feeding strategies, referrals for imaging or specialists as necessary. Supportive communication with hospital-based specialists can be provided, especially following a recent hospital discharge. We are certified in MBSImP™ and the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP™), allowing us to pinpoint the cause of swallowing difficulties and provide targeted, evidence-based treatment through telehealth or at home.

We evaluate and treat cognitive-linguistic disorders, which affect attention, memory, problem-solving, reasoning, and the ability to organize thoughts and express them clearly. These challenges often result from Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Tumors, or other neurological changes.

Therapy targeting attention, memory, executive functions (such as planning, problem-solving, and reasoning), and visuospatial skills, helping you manage daily routines, follow conversations, and return to the activities that matter most. Assessment uses standardized cognitive-linguistic tests selected to be linguistically, medically, and age appropriate for each patient. Also certified in the MoCA™ (Montreal Cognitive Assessment).

We evaluate and treat voice disorders, which can cause hoarseness, reduced loudness, vocal strain, fatigue, or changes in pitch and quality. These conditions often result from Parkinson's Disease, Stroke, Vocal Fold Paralysis, Vocal Nodules or Polyps, Muscle Tension Dysphonia, Head and Neck Cancer, or other medical and neurological changes.

Referrals for imaging or specialists as necessary, education on vocal strategies. Experienced in the use of Passy Muir® Valves (speaking valves); patients must be cleared by their physician for use in the home setting. We are also certified in SPEAK OUT!®, an evidence-based therapy program developed by Parkinson Voice Project to help individuals with Parkinson's Disease speak with a stronger, clearer voice.
